Scott is a retired Air Force fighter pilot with 25 years of service, where he attained the rank of Colonel and led large, complex organizations both in combat and in peacetime. He has successfully commanded at the squadron, group, and wing levels. Additionally, Scott served as an instructor at the prestigious U.S. Air Force Fighter Weapons School (TOP GUN).

Few bring the diversity of leadership experiences that Scott has. As a Fighter Wing Commander, he was not only responsible for the training and employment of a 4,500 member combat wing, but he was also charged with the responsibility of leading and managing an installation of 11,000 personnel, over 10,000 acres and $2 billion in assets. His leadership in this capacity was recognized with the Commander-In-Chief Installation Excellence award, naming his base the top installation in the United States Air Force. Scott also led an operations group of 1,000 personnel and 140 aircraft conducting continuous combat operations in southern Afghanistan.

As an Air Force senior leader, Scott’s engagements were not limited to military members in uniform. While developing foreign policy as a member of the Secretary of Defense’s staff, he interfaced with senior policymakers, diplomats, and elected officials on a daily basis. Additionally, as the commander of a large Air Force installation with a $2.6 billion impact on the local economy, Scott routinely worked with officials at the city, county, and state level along with local business leaders to maximize results for all involved supporting the mission.

Scott understands how to assemble and lead diverse, cross-functional, high performing teams. With his extensive experience leading large organizations, he brings his skills in solving complex problems and driving cultural change in order to achieve high levels of productivity and efficiency.

Scott graduated from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1995 with military distinction and a degree in management. He also holds advanced degrees in military and national security strategy from both the U.S. Army Command & General Staff College as well as the National War College where he was a distinguished graduate. Scott resides in Colorado with his wife and two sons.
